Being the Props Charge on this show had had many challenges, but by far the biggest one was custom creating upwards of 20 puppets. Besides receiving a research board for the God Hymen form the Scenic Designers, and requests of the aesthetic from the director, I was left with creative freedom of how the puppets looked, moved, and were ultimately handled.
Below are process shots of the 40' wide puppet Hymen, the 2D Deer the ensemble ran around with, and the Mother Doe deer puppet, which had movable legs, head, and body.
Other fun builds included a custom wagon, a sheep puppet, and restoring a boombox!
